Kimono Royal Yellow

This kimono really brings out all the power of the Mexican color palette with its vibrant yellow and sky blue hand weaved cotton made by the women’s artisan collective in Oaxaca, Mexico. 

The ikat sleeves from Uzbekistan in pure silk are also entirely handmade and match perfectly with the rest of the kimono. It was a great surprise for us to find the exact same hues on textiles made on two different continents by two women who have never seen each other, proof that traditional techniques are just so complimentary.

The raw silk lining takes on the same vibrant yellow giving our jacket an overall glow. Finally, all these textiles were brought together and completed with a touch of upcycled fabrics in our Parisian atelier. 

Our kimono is a timeless staple made to last a lifetime. It is slightly padded which makes it perfect for the first chilly autumn days, the silk lining giving it an extra comfy feel. The vest is approximately 76cm long by 60cm wide and fits comfortably sizes XS - L.

We want to create unique pieces with a more conscious and calm approach to fashion, taking our time to source the right natural materials and working in close collaboration with our partner families. Producing less but better in order to bring you sustainable luxury. 

Please note that all our garments are entirely handmade and the textiles are handweaved using traditional techniques. No machine, except a classic sewing machine, is involved in the process. This is why some irregularities may sometimes be present such as tiny apparent threads or a slight difference in length & width.
